Dr. Sadhana Sarkar is a strong literary personality of Bengali arena. She is Writer-Cum-Poet-Cum-Essayist-Cum-Journalist.She was born on 1957.She had gained the Post-graduate Degree and Ph.D on Bengali Language and Literature from Rabindra Bharati University. She had started her professional career as a journalist for the Magazine, "BhumiLaksmi" of Ananda Baxar Patrika Group. After that she is engaged professionally as professor till today. Presently she is attached with East Calentte Girls' College as the Head of the Dept. of Bengali Language and Literacy.Many of her poems and stories (Juvenile) have been published on different Magazines. She has achieved the award "American Medal of Honour", the highest honour of 'American Bio-graphical Institute' (I.N.C) for her Book, "MANABDHARMA O RABINDRANATH". She gained the "Sara Bangla Anu Galpo Sahitya Sanmanana", "Manjus Dasgupta Sanmanana". She is the Life member of "Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan" (Gaziabad Branch). She is associated with the Magazines like "Marusha", "Aikatan" , "Baikaliki".
