This organization commenced journey from 2004 and mainly engaged themselves for the social and cultural development of our society, especially childrens.
 
SALBONI CHANDABANDHAN – ARRANGES
 
“NATIONAL CHILDREN’S ART COMPETITION ” (students up to class VIII rush your entry and secure prize worth Rs. 410/-).
GROUPS
GROUP ‘A’ – Up to class II (No Lower limit)
GROUP ‘B’ – Class III, IV and V
GROUP ‘C’ – Class VI, VII and VIII
PRIZES
  • 9 GOLD MEDALS (3 for Gr. A, 3 for Gr. B and 3 for Gr. C)
  • 30 SILVER MEDALS (10 for Gr. A, 10 for Gr. B and 10 for Gr. C)
  • Consolation prizes worth Rs. 410/- for all participants.
  • Consolation prizes –
    1. One English recital audio CD worth Rs. 210/-, containing selected poems from “Gitanjali”, the Nobel prize winning creation of Rabindranath Tagore. and
    2. One VIDEO ALBUM worth Rs. 200/- consisting of prize winning art works of this competition.

Why Tagore’s recital CD as a consolation prize?
Rabindranath Tagore, the world poet, won his Nobel Prize for literature for his work of “GITANJALI”. The essence of “GITANJALI” is embedded in nurturing and developing the conscience of every human being. Next year, i.e. 2010 marks the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. To commemorate the anniversary and to preach his views, we have decided to present an Audio Compact Disc of Gitanjali to each and every participant of the drawing competition.

DEAR STUDENTS WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO
  1. Select a white art paper of 35cm x 25cm size.
  2. Choose any subject or theme and start your work.
  3. Finish your art work by pastel or water color.
  4. At the back side of your art work please write in capital letters
    * Your name, class and e-mail ID
    * Guardians name
    * Full residential address with pin code no.
    * Full name, address and e-mail ID of your school.
    Consolation prizes will be sent by post. So be careful about your address. Do not forget to mention PIN CODE NO.
  5. You have to collect a postal order from any post office or bank draft from UCO BANK only of Rs. 200/- in favour of The Secretary, Salboni Chandabandhan, payable at Salboni, as registration fees.
  6. Please send the art work along with the postal order or bank draft of Rs. 200/- by post to The Secretary, Salboni Chandabandhan, QTR. No. C-83/1, B.R.B. Township, Salboni, Midnapore West, West Bengal, Pin – 721132.
  7. Please write “Participants, National Children’s Art Competition” on the envelop.
  8. Your entry should reach our office on or before 30th November, 2009. So rush your entry as early as possible.

  10. From the third week of December’2009 results can be accessed through our website. Prize winners will get the prizes within January 2010.
RESPESTED TEASHERS, A REQUEST TO YOU
  1. You may accumulate total entries of your school and make a draft together from UCO BANK of (Rs. 200/- x number of participants) and may send the total entries of your school along with the draft in one packet.
  2. Your school may win the “Best Response Trophy” if you can send maximum of entries.

Programs organized by Salboni Chandabandhan - AT A GLANCE

1. SHISHU CHANDA UTSAV- (A program on group recital) June'2005 at Bangla Academi.
Participation: More than 300 child artists of 40 different recital group from 12 different districts of West Bengal.

2. SHISHU SHRUTI NATYA UTSAV: (A program on Audio/radio drama) June'2006 at Bangla Academy.
Participation: More than 150 child artists of 20 different audio/radio drama group from 9 different districts of West Bengal.

3. SHISHU KONTHE GOLPO UTSAV- (A program on group story telling) June' 2007 at Abanindra Savagriha,
Participation : More than 170 child artists of 24 different recital group from 9 different districts of West Bengal. Dakshini Recital Group from Agartala- Tripura was special invitee.

4. RECITAL PROGRAM TO OBSERVE SCIENCE DAY: (Children’s recited poems on science subject). February'2007 and 2008 at Bangla Academy.

5. National Children's Recital Festival: (a multilingual recital evening for the children)31st May, 2008. at Abanindra Savagriha. In this program child recital artists of Kerala, Tripura, Assam, Delhi, Mizoram and West Bengal participated .

A REQUEST: Please send us the name and address (with pin code) of children's recital institute / organization known to you. We will invite those groups to perform in our recital programs.

Individual child recital artist not attached with any group but having very high quality in recital arts (Bengali/English/Hindi or any other language) may send their details with communicating address. We will invite them also for recital performance.

Our Future Planning : To organise more and more different cultural and recital program throughout the year.We expect your patronization.
