About Chandrani Mukherjee :
 

I was very keen and conscious from my childhood to dig my root firm in Musical career. My talent was also been observed by my parents very early. I got a good support and training from Dr.Amio Ranjan Bandyopadhyay on Classical Music. I was also been equally guided by Srimati Pratima Bandyopadhyay on Light Bengali music, later I was also got able guidance from Anil Chatterjee, Jatileswar Mukhopadhyayas and Arun Bhattacharya in Classical Songs. As a result of which, I not only did my academics but also persued the study on Music by doing B.A., B.Ed., along with did six year Diploma from Allahabad university. My depth of the knowledge has not only helped me to gain fame but also ascertained me a job of a Music teacher at G.D.Birla School.

My talent as a vocalist shone when I took part in various vocal music competitions in which in almost every time I was a benedict as a topper. In the year of 1990 & 1991, I appeared for the audition in T.V. and Radio and readily chosen by the panel.

My career got accelerated from the year of 1996 when apart of my regular stage shows I received calls from the Recording companies to do Musical Albums with them. My first released cassette was ‘TOK BOK TOK BOK GHORA CHHUTIYE’ on the year 1998 was hit, yet again on the year 2000 another successful album ‘BOLO NA MAA’ was released by the Beethoven Records. In the year 2001 – 2002 “SAT RANGA EK PAKHI” Bengali Adhunik released by Atlantis, 2008 "CHANDNI MADHU RATEY" audio cd by Gathani, 2011 " HAT CHERAY DILO" video cd by Gathani, 'KUL DEBI' Devotional Casseetes with Surindar Thakur.

In my years of persuasion my hunger to reach further heights has not got subdued but rather it gained more and more ignition. Now a days I dedicate myself to perform and compose Bengali Ghazals and I am getting guidance from Smt. Kum Kum Bhattacharjee who supposed to be the only pupil of the Legendry Mehdi Hassan in Bengal.   

Performance :

  • On the year 1990 I became a regular performer in A.I.R. & T.V.
  • From the year 1996 onwards I started to appear in different stages regularly with Adhunik Bengali Songs
  • I also performed as a Play Back singer in a art film “STHANIA SANGBAD” produced by Black magic, the same film got international felicitation in the Newzeland Film Festival.
  • I also performed as a play back singer in a film namely “LOKENATH BABA” produced by Nitai Chitram.
