MASS WELFARE SOCIETY is a community-based non-government, non-profit making, non-political and secular, Social Development Organization working for more than 30 years in slums of Kolkata and adjacent 24 Paraganas (South) for the development and empowerment of urban slum children, women and other distressed population through Education, Health and Social Awareness. We started our journey more than three decades ago, in the year 1983 with the Blessings of Blessed Mother Teresa. The organisation is registered under the West Bengal Societies’ Registration Act, the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act. We have our own Child Protection Policy, and Human Resource Policy.

We are reaching out to those people through our activities and programmes who are not yet introduced with mainstreaming services. All of our programmes of education, health, women's empowerment and social awareness are meant and specially designed keeping in mind of this marginalized section of the society.
