Liners Pvt. Ltd. (CLPL), Kolkata, is in the business of Iron Ore
Fines and other bulk commodities since long and we are pleased to
introduce ourselves as exporters / traders of Iron Ore Fines / Coking
Coal. Till date we have organised several shipment of Iron Ore Fines
for destination China apart from procurement of 2,00,000 M/Ton of
Iron Ore Fines on behalf of other exporters per annum.
Infrastructure for Procurement :
We have a 3000 Sq. mtr. open yard plot within Paradip Port premises
having a storage capacity of about 45,000 Tons to 50,000 Tons
of Iron Ore Fines. We also have arrangements at Haldia Port for
storage of about 100,000 of bulk cargo, including Iron Ore Fines
/ Chrome Concentrate.
Trading of Iron Ore Fines in Orissa is permitted to traders only
if they hold a trading license issued by the Deputy Director Mines,
State Government of Orissa. We hold this license number 623 with
effect from 6th January 2005.
As we are an established Logistic Company since 1984 (Partnership)
changed to a Pvt. Ltd. company in 1994 and since inception we
have been in the business of Port Handling and Port Related Transportation
/ Logistic Support including Mechanical Gears to our Principals
along with indenting resources for various bulk commodity items
from Middle East, China and Australia. We have a back up of over
250 trucks, and railway linkage facilities to move other facilities
to handle bulk Cargo i.e. Iron Ore Fines, Coking Coal / Met Coke,
Fertilizers and Raw Material i.e. Rock Phosphate & Sulpher
etc.

Limited Company was started in the year 1966
as a Partnership firm known as Cargo Carriers.
Mr.Shail Nath Ray headed the Company. Cargo
Carriers was based on logistics works for all over India,
the company worked with big groups like Birla- s
and Tata- s, this company started working from
Calcutta port & Haldia port. The company was renamed as New
cargo Carriers in the year 1974,
Mr. Prem Ray son of Mr. Shail Nath Ray,
joined the company in the same year as a Partner. The company started
Handling of Ships and looking after all the works till dispatch
of the material from the port on behalf of companies like MMTC,
HINDUSTAN FERTILIZER, HINDUSTAN
LEVER and RECKITT & COLMANN etc.
The company started working on All
India Basis for logistics for more Indian and Multinational groups.
Cargo Liners Pvt. Ltd. (CLPL) was formed in the
year 1994, where Mr. Prem Ray
took the charge as Managing Director. The company
was into logistics of Bulk commodities like Rock Phosphate, Sulpher,
Soda Ash, and Tea etc. In the year 1996 the company
received The Best Logistics Company certificate
from MMTC and continued with the same. CLPL landed
in the Trade of Imported Sugar in the year 1997
and traded over 20,000 tons of Sugar in all over
India. In the year 1998 CLPL started trading of
Coking Coal including the logistics of Coking Coal
for companies like Kajaria Iron Castings
Ltd, Electro Steels Ltd and Durgapur Project Ltd
etc. In the year 1999 the company started all their
branch offices. The company started the logistics of Containers
and Wood Logs in the year 2000 where it worked
with the companies like Century Plywood and B&G
FURNITURES etc and transported the materials from Haldia
Port to various destinations in all over India.
Last few years, We are associated
with group of professional managers and leading companies, who after
enriching association with Steel Industry and International Trading
Houses have decided to create infrastructure with the aim to add
value in all activities undertaken during the course of business
development to make the whole process excellent and satisfying for
all.

CLPL got a plot allotted by the Port Authority of Paradip
landed in EXPORT of Iron Ore Fines in
the year 2004. The first shipment was done by CLPL
to its one of the Principal buyers named as Abdoolally Ebrahim
Commodities Ltd. The company is in procuring Iron Ore Fines
on behalf of several local traders and exporters too. CLPL is too
procuring SIZE ORE for few of Sponge iron Plants in West Bengal
& Jharkhand. Recently CLPL landed into a partnership with a
Crusher Plant, which had the production capacity of 100 MT. The
company is trading Met Coke and transporting the same on behalf
of their principal buyer one of the biggest users of Met Coke in
Durgapur named as Durgapur Metalliks Ltd. (DML)
CLPL is also transporting SIZE ORE on behalf of DML to their sponge
Iron plant.

We had supplied Iron Ore Fines to
MMTC Ltd. (5 Star Export House of Govt. of India Enterprise) on
loaded in to Railway Rake wagon basis ex. Barbil and Banspani Railway
Siding.
This performance got us recognition in Chinese Markets
as backbone of performing exporters based in East Coast India, to
an extent that that we are co-shipper in contract, the performance
bond is waived by the Chinese buyer even if the exporter is performing
his very shipment though.
Scope for us to Export Iron Ore
- We have complete knowledge of procurement sourcing
and logistics by road and railway rakes.
- We know the mine owners, reputed crushing units
where from the cargo is procured.
- We have our own offices and infrastructure managed
by experienced manpower at Barbil Siding, Bara Jamda, Banspani
Siding, Jayanto Garh, Noamundi, Haldia Port, Keonjhargarh and
Paradip Port. Wherein all the procurers accumulate the cargo and
then move further to different ports as per the requirement.
- In the same plots under the supervision of inspection
agency namely SGS and or Mitra S K we procure different grades
of the cargo and blend it if necessary.
- And the right physical blend for the shipment
planned moves to the respective port.
- Paradip Port Trust has allotted a plot inside
the Port Premises (Pls. visit web site www.paradipport.gov.in)
where in daily traffic update under manual Iron Ore Plot M - 1.
- We have performed several shipments of FOB basis
for other exporters. Thus we have complete knowledge till the
shipment on FOB basis.
- On our performance other exporters are banking
and making cool profits of several dollars.
- As we have plot inside the port we are entitled
for priority indents of railway rake.
- The railway track between Keonjhar and Daitari
is under trial. With in few months it is expected to be effective.
Once the track becomes functional then railway rake freight will
become almost half.
