Ram
Narayan Das is one of the literary Contributors of the
Modern Bengali Literature. He was born at Doro Champi
Village of Midnapure (East) on 7th November, 1938. His
father –Late Lakshmi Narayan Das was the Primary School
Teacher, The Administrator and he was very famous as
the head of a lyric group. His mother – Late Lakshmi
Priya Debi, He had passed the school final examination
in 1st Division with the scholarship in 1955 from Parbatipur
Patit Pabani High School. In 1957, he passed the I.S.C.
Examination in 1st. Division from Gobardanga Hindu College
and the B.Sc Examination with Distinction in 1959 from
Gobardanga Hindu College. In 1971, he passed the engineering
(Grad I.T.E) from Institution of Telecom Engineers (New
Delhi), He had joined in Service as an Engineering Supervisor
in Telecom Department is 1961. Then according, he had
worked as Assistant Engineer, then as Divisional Engineer
in Calcutta Telephone, West Bengal Telecom. Then he
worked at Delhi and finally, he had retired as the Director
of Telecom Dept. from Hydrbad in 1996.
He had started the poetry creation from his college
life and created many poems during his professional
Tenure. His first poetry book, “Basanta Bahar” has been
published in 2002 from Sahitya Rong Be Rong. His 2nd
poetry books “Natuner Sandhane” has been also published
on the same year from sahitya Jagat . Apart from, he
is attached with many Magazines, Journals, Literature
compilation like Sahitya Jagat, Rupasi, Dibya Jyotir
Pathe etc. His various poems are regularly published
in those literary Magazines. He is the life Member of
Biswa Banga Sahitya – o – Sammelan. His poetry Book
“Ramdhanu Range Man Renge” was published on 2004.
