Academic Qualification :
Started learning music at the age of 8 & inspired by my father Dr. Bamdeb Mookherjee, took up music as a Subject in my High School Board Exam. & passed in first division. After marriage, moved to U.P. &  took up music as a Subject for Intermediate Exam. of U.P. Board & passed in first division with distinction in Classical Vocal.
Training & Experience in Music :
After moving to Bombay, pursued my training in Classical Music under the guidance of Late Pandit Pratap Narain for a few years. Thereafter I took up Urdu Ghazals & light Classical Songs under the guidance of Late Ustad Taj Ahmed Khan Saheb for ten years.
I had passed the audition tests for All India Radio, Bombay & performed as a Radio & Television artist. I had been performing on stage & private programmes for Ghazals & light songs. Also have competence in Adhunik (Bangla), Shyamasangeet, Bhajan, Nazrulgeeti, Folk Songs, Atul Prasad, Rajanikanter gaan. I have sung Bhojpuri songs for Polydor Gramophone Company & rendered my voice for two Hindi films & a regional film.
Present Activities:
After moving to Kolkata 3 years back pursuing music training under the guidance of Sri Adhir Bagchi, Dilip Das. I have started stage performances at various public functions & private functions as well as teaching and imparting musical lesson to upcoming talents.
