Awarded Govt, of India Cultural scholarship in painting 1959 & studios under late Shri Ram Kinkar Baiz, Kala Bhavana. Viswa Bharati University, Shantiniketan.

Awarded U.N. Fellowship by the U.N.D.P. in the field of Toys & Dolls year 1977 for a period of five months, visited Geneva, Germany, U.K. & U.S.A.

Founder Member of the Artist Circle Calcutta Year 1954.

Founder Member of Society of Contemporary Artist, Calcutta 1956 since then participating all the group shows in Calcutta, Delhi, Bombay till 1964. Five group shows in Bombay. Participated in National Exhibition since 1958.

One man shows 1961, 1974, 1983 and 1994 in Calcutta, 1994, 1988 in Bombay.
