Srimati Beauty Mazumder, M.A. (Cal), Kovid (Allahabad), Prajna (Delhi), daughter of Late Dhirendra Nath Basu & Tarulata Devi, Started her literary career after her retirement from the Central Government Service in 1991-92.
Her original home town is Dacca and her elder brother Late Subimal Bose was born there but she was born in August 1932 at Chittagong, now both in Bangladesh.
Smt. Mazumder has a rich social & cultural background which has helped her in accomplishing multifarious activities. Her Grand father Late Barada Kanta Basu like a pioneer prevented the sacrifice of Humanbeings before the Goddess Durga in the Zaminder family of Parvattya Chattogram and also initiated a marriage of a widow, in the first decade of 20th century.
Smt Beauty was married to a revolutionary family of Dacca, historically renowned. Name of her father-in-law is Late Suresh Chandra Mazumder and Husband's name is Late Supratul Mazumder. Mrs Mazumder has a daughter named RanjanaDeb.
Her Hobby – Traveling, Reading, Writing, Photography, Music and delivering extempore Speech.
Uptill now Smt. Beauty Mazumder was awarded and felicitate by different organisations - Literal-Social-cultural and religious. Viz. Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelon, Ramkrishna Vivekananda Mission, Sri Aurobindo Nari Chetana O Chinta Kendra, Oikatanand also Arya Nari Krishti Parisad etc. for her valuable contribution in the Bengali Literary field.
