Manmohan Singh is a renowned name among the Singers of India. His devotion for the Bengali and Hindi Devotional songs has made him gain love and popularity. His father Gurcharan Singh though being a Refrigeration Engineer has a uncanny inclination towards classical music which got manifestation in his son Manmohan Singh.

Manmohan Singh started to get his lesson on classical music from Ustad Ataullah Khan & Pandit Dhruvtara Joshi in the initial days. Later, he got able guidance on Bengali Modern Songs from Sri Anal Chattopadhyay & Shyama Sangeet from Sri Amalesh Chattopadhyay. Manmohan Singh’s love for the Devotional Songs made him to come nearer to the Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota Jee , since 1997 he is learning Devotional songs from the Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota Jee.

In the year 1986 ushered benediction on Manmohan Singh from where he did not looked back. He got inducted in the Mantra of Shree Shree Thakur Anukulchandra by Honorable Ritwik Ananda Mohan Ghosh (S.P.R.) and went on performing on the spiritual and devotional songs on Shri Shri Anukul Thakur. He stood first in the Music Competition of Rajya Sangeet Academy in the year 1986 and 1987. He also gained the All India Radio Gradation (B High Grade) in the year 1991 in Shyama Sangeet & Devotional Department.

In this musical journey he wrote over 1200 Bengali & 300 Hindi songs and all are recorded and performed by renowned singers of Mumbai and Kolkata and also many songs were sang by him. In the due course of time he worked with Anup Jalota, Anuradha Paudwal, Suresh Wadekar, Roop Kumar & Vinod Kumar Rathore, Usha Mangeshkar, Raju Das, Ram Shankar, Usha Uthup, Dhiren Basu, Amar Paul, Indrani Sen, Nachiketa, Shubhamita, Raghab Chatterjee, Anusua Chowdhury, Jojo, Mita Chatterjee, Swapna Chakraborty, Keka Ghoshal, Saptak Bhattacharya, Anweshaa, Manomay Bhattacharya & many Others where his eligibility as a Music Director and Lyricist took him to new heights.

Manmohan Singh had also wrote songs & done Music for Bengali Feature Films such as Anushochana, Agnishakshi, Abelay Garam Bhaat etc. He is also writing songs & Directing Music for an upcoming Hindi Movie "Area 13".

Manmohan Singh has performed in all the leading musical programs in and around West Bengal. From 2006 onwards he has concentrated only to sing Devotional Songs as his love and passion for devotional song has all along inspired him to be the best and his performance is also giving verdict of the same.
