Shipra Guha Thakurta is an experienced exponent of Hindustani Classical (Vocal) and Semi-Classical Music. She was awarded Sangeet Visharad Pratim Khand from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh and Sangeet Bhusan (Senior Diploma Final) in Vocal (Classical Music) from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh). She contributed a lot to the Classical Music through her attractive performances on different stages throughout West Bengal.
She has many compositions to her credit. Her album on Najrul Geeti "Chaitali Chandni Raate" was published from the STM cassettes. She rendered her voice in Folk album "Banshi kane Bajali" and composed Music in Bani kumar Dev's album. "Shayama gram Ek Rupkatha".
She efficiently taught Hindustani Music in different Musical and cultural organizations like Kalakshetram in Baguihati, Kolkata, Suniti Kala Mandir, Natagarh and Geeti Malancha in Rahara, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. |
