Krishna Saha is one of the renowned singers based on quality in Bengali singing world.
She was born on 4th August, 1959 in a very cultural family. In her very early age, she had started her singing from her mother late Konika Mallick (Eminent Writer and Cultural Personality). Later on, she had learnt singing from Smt. Gouri Basu of Naihati and from Kranti Sangeet College. She has been talking talim from the famous Rabindra Sangeet Teacher, Maya Sen for a long time. She is learning the songs, Nazrul-Geeti from Purabi Dutta. She is the Science Graduate from Calcutta University.
She had taken talim on classical songs from Sri Gyan Patra of Bankura, from Ustad Abu Daud khan of Murshidabad and from Sri Shyamal Lahiri of Kolkata also she take lesson from Nishit Sadhu & (D.L.Roy and Rajanikanta).
She had obtained “Sangeet Prabhakar Degree” from Allahabad Prayag Sangeet Samiti. She had passed in 1st Division With Distingsion on Rabindra Sangeet. She had achieved 1st division with distingsion on classical sangeet.
She is performing Rabindra Sangeet regularly from Akashbani (Murshidabad Centre) since 1995. She stood first in Rabindra Sangeet Competition on 1985 from Yuba Kalyan Department (Bankura District).
She is a register singer of Eastern Zonal Culture. She has been performing on lots of prestigious programmes in and around West Bengal. She performed Songs in Silpa kala Academy at dhaka, Maimonsing, Arabindo Ashram Tikakuli, Dhaka In the year 20012. She performed Songs in Kokrajhar at Assam in the year 2011, December. She Performed Charukala Utsab at Nandan Pranjan conducted by Charukala Parsad Govt. of West Bengal in 2008 & also she performed Rabindranath Tiradhan Dibas, 2008, 2010, Banga Sanskriti Utsab at Lalan Mancha on 21st Feb, 2008, Bishnupur Mela at Bishnupur Bankura conducted by Bankura District authority on 26 December 2008, Ghatal Utsab at Ghatal, Midnapur on 16th January 2009, Rajya Hastasilpa Mela conducted by Govt. of West Bengal 2007 & 2008, she has also performed Dijendra Lal Sarada Soto Barso programme. She had performed on the programme of “Kabi Pranam” on Sisir Mancha in 2006 organized by Information & Cultural Dept. of West Bengal Govt., at State Handloom Fair (2007), at Nandan Premises (2008) organized by “Charukala Parshad”, at the programme of “Kabi Prayan” on Girish mancha on 2007, at “Kabi Prayan” Programme (2008) on Madhusudan Mancha. She had participated in “Bangla Sangeet Mela” on 2007 & 2008 organised by West Bengal Govt. She had performed songs in “Vidyasagar Mela” in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2008 for the Mission of “women literary”. She had performed singing at West Bengal Consumers Security Mela (2002), at “Bidhan Nagar (Salt Lake) Mela (2006)”, at Bidhan Nagar Sishu Mela, at Park Circus Milan Mela (2006) by Minority Community. She had performed Songs in Arabindo Ashram at Suri in the year 2005. She had performed songs in Ananda Sambad at Bombay in the year 2006. She had participated in various music programmes as Guest. She has gained lots of praises for her quality singing in many TV Channels, Kolkata Doordarshan, Banga Sanskriti Utsav and other Govt. Non-Govt. programmes.
