Fort Gloster Industries ltd (FGI) an ISO 9001 Company was incorporated in 1884 & commenced manufacturing operation of electric wires & cables in 1958. The company had technical collaboration with British Insulated Calendar's Cables Ltd., U.K and subsequently with Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd., japan.
The company was the first to introduce Extra High Voltage Cables with cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation of 66KV, 110 KV and 132KV. The company also pioneered Rubber Insulated Cables by continuous vulcanisation process in India.
