Born
in Jaipur and brought up in Kolkata Rinku Bhattacharya is
a well known exponent of classical and folk dances of India.
She has displayed her talent in various live showes and television
programmes .
She
is a trained classical kathak dancer, a disciple of Late Guru
Laxminarayanji Of Gunijan khana of Jaipur - Rajasthan and
have performed various classical and Rajasthani folk dances
in various places across India like Kolkata, Mumbai, Jaipur,
Manipur, Allahabad, Assam and Orissa and have received appreciation
from one and all including well known exponents of classical
dances like Guru Bipin Singh of Manipuri dance, Guru Chitresh
Das and Bela Arnab of (dean of kathak dance department of
Rabindra Bharati university of kolkata) and from the very
famous dance choreographer Saroj khan of the Film fraternity

Now
there is a bright star on the Kathak firmament. There was
never a dull moment in her dance. Rinku follows the old Jaipur
gharana and gave her best in Kalia Daman depicting the combat
between Lord Krishna and Kalianag in Tandava style. |
