Pintoo
Mitra is a renowned name in music World as an instrumentalist,
arranger, director, performer and song writer in English, Bengali
and Hindi languages. Being a multi-instrumentalist (synth-keyboard,
guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo and percussions) he performed
numerous stage and TV shows with top musical personalities like
Mr. V. Balsar, Jaganmoi Mitra, Salil Chowdhury, Gulam Ali, Kumar
Sanu and other famous musicians and artistes. Since 1986 as
a music director his famous film are - Odhikar (B), Sands (E),
Probhu (H)..., Video Jingle composer for top Ad companies like
Emami, Froot Beer, etc. Life Member of Calcutta Cine Association
and approved musician of AIR and Dooradarshan. At present he
is coaching in Triplet school of music, teaching instruments
mentioned above through computer and foreign audio-video courses
in congenial environment in his own digital studio. Over the
years Pintoo has written, composed and recorded plenty of cassettes
and CDs for singers and organizations like Orphanage, Mother
Teresa, Eye Bank, Government Charity programmes.
As a coach, he teaches his students meticulously, attending
to the needs of each; and never in a large group unless he is
teaching a particular band.
He has a collection of few hundreds of books on music; thousands
of music lessons in his computer and takes pride in thousands
of DVDs on instructional lessons in keyboard, mandolin, Bass
guitar, drums, Ukulele.
He also teaches his students how to perform on stage and in
studio. He has a huge collection of musical tracks both of eastern
and western songs. Established singers visit him regularly for
vocal quality check and they might have. Many honored instrumentalists
are also his regular visitors.
In his audio – video class he has the facilities to show
the lesson performed by renowned professional instructors of
world music.
Popularly known as ONE MAN BAND, Pintoo Mitra is working with
AIR,TV and other musical entertainment medias. He was very closed
to the arrangers & music directors like Late Samir Sil,
Late Amiyo Mandal, Samir Khashnabish and Mr. Carlton Kitto.
