Guru Shree Prasun Bandhapadhayay cannot be described as only a Nritya Guru, he is also an eminent performer too.

He did his Dance course from Rabindra University also he got able guidance from eminent Gurus from time to time. One such of his in Bharatnattyam is Guru Shree Khangendra Nath Burman. Apart, of him Guru Prasun Bandhapadhayay also got Kathak lessons from Sremati Molly Roy disciple of the Great Shree Birjumaharaj.

In a very small time of thirty years Guru Shree Prasun Bandhapadhyay has earned fame in performing at Singapore Commonwealth, London and various other places abroad. In this short tenure he has also shown his massive talent in bringing up new students and guiding them. The Dance lessons which he share among his disciple becomes very simple for the new ones to understand. This special talent of his has also been recognized while he imparted his knowledge in his dance class arranged in Singapore.

Ability of Guru Shree Prasun Bandopadhayay in brining up students has been much observed in the performance of Sreemoti Lakshmi Rani Das (Bharatnattyam) whom he guided and coached her for twelve long years.
