To me Dance is a form of expression which helps me to explore creativities. In spite of strong grammatical rules, Kathak as a dance form, allows us to go beyond to search for newer forms of expressions. Having its historical base in the deserts of Rajasthan, and the courtyards of Nawabs of Lucknow, Kathak has already gone through a lot of experiments throughout its lifetime. It has been strongly influenced by the dance moves of Muslim dancers after the Muslim invasions in India. Having such an experimental background, Kathak still allows us to make newer experiments to retain creativity.
