Project Bulbul- 3

On 11th January 2020 as per the schedule we the members of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) we had our blanket distribution at Chandanpiri Namkhana. It was a very well organised event with 200 recipients, all lined up with pre distributed slip in hands to collect the blankets from multiple bulbul effected village's. The recipient's were mainly elderly people in the family. Special thank's to PP. Rtn. Anirudha Gupta, PP. Rtn. Ahoy Krishna Chatterjee, Club Secretary Rtn. Bikash Dutta for their hole heartedly effort. We are also thankful to all the members of our club for the constant support which make this Bulbul project a successful one.

District Governor visit and Club Assembly of Rotary Club of Behala

District Governor visit and club assembly of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291)held on 22nd December 2019 Sunday at The Calcutta Club. We are thankful to our District Governor Rtn. Ajay Agarwal and the District official and off course our beloved club members and their wives for coming and making this official DG visit a successful one. The DG visit concluded with grand fellowship and sumptuous dinner.

"BULBUL" relief work by the members of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) at Chandanpiri Namkhana(West Bengal). we distributed bags of rice, potatoes, dal, oil and salt to distressed people of the area. It was a massive relief and distribution act that we had done in the recent times.we are thankful to our Club President Rtn. Kaushik Bhattacharya for taking such prompt initiative. Special thank's to all the members who donated whole heartedly to this nobel cause.

Distributed as well as planted 500 tropical fruit trees

Our club President and team Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) visited our proposed RCC site Chandanpiri at Namkhana on 21st September 2019 and distributed as well as planted 500 tropical fruit trees in two villages of Paschim Chandanpiri. We also handedover 60 new Sarees to the local women's of the village's. This is a great initiative and with this great job Rotary Club of Behala goes green.

56th Installation Ceremony and RWM of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) held at Calcutta Rowing Club on 13th July 2019 Saturday evening. Congratulations to President Rtn. Kaushik Bhattacharya and Secretary Rtn. Bikash Dutta and the entire team of Rotary Club of Behala. We are thankful to Chief Guest of the evening DG Rtn. Ajay Agarwal for his gracious presence. We are also thankful to PDG Rtn. Angshuman Bondhopadhay, PDG Rtn. Rajani Mukherjee, PDG Rtn. Shyamashree Sen, District Secretary Rtn. Tapas Bhattacharya, and all the other District officials and Presidents and Secretary's from different clubs of our District. The installation ceremony concluded with fellowship and sumptuous dinner.

Rotary International year 2019-20 by felicitating the doctor's from Rotary and beyond.

On 1st July 2019 we the members of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) started the new Rotary International year 2019-20 by felicitating the doctor's from Rotary and beyond. The evening of National Doctors day was filled with star doctors of Kolkata at our RCM venue Malik Guest House. Newly collered President Rtn. Kaushik Bhattacharya with newly elected club Secretary Rtn. Bikash Dutta felicited the doctors by handing over a beautiful memento to each one of them. All the honourable Past Presidents of Our club also took the mental to felicitate the doctors. The meeting hall was filled with Rotations and their spouses. We are thankful to all the honourable doctors for coming down to our meeting venues and giving us the opportunity to felicitate them for their extraordinary contribution towards the society. The meeting followed by fellowship with mouth watering snacks.

Visited Ramkrishna Mission Chandanpiri Namkhana.

On the last day of the Rotary International year 2018- 19 (30th June 2019) we the members of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) visited Ramkrishna Mission Chandanpiri Namkhana. After having fresh coconut water we handedover 8 marble plaques and packets of pencil, biscuits and crayons for the local children's. Under the guidance of the local people we inspected the water tanks previously installed by our club. Members suggested small modifications here and there. Between all this we had a sumptuous lunch at the ashram. Post lunch 10 beneficiaries assembled at the hall. Rotarians of our club spoke to them and one plastic bucket and a mug were handed over to each. Finally there was the official work. A cheque for the remaining part of the expenses for the project was handedover to the ashram authorities.

Installed a Sanitarynapkin vending machine

On 21st June 2019 Friday the members of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) was present at the the Rasapunja panchayat office were we already installed a Sanitarynapkin vending machine. This time it was the official inauguration of the vending machine. This is definitely one of the finest service project that Rotary Club of Behala had done.

Last Club meeting of the RI year 2018-19

Last Club meeting of the RI year 2018-19 and thanks giving programme of Club President Rtn. Amaresh Bhattacharya held at The Calcutta Punjab club on 20th June 2019 Thursday. All the club members and the Past Presidents of Our club congratulated President Rtn. Amaresh Bhattacharya for his commendable job as a President of the club. District Governor Rtn. Mukul Sinha was also present as a chief guest. He praised our club President and Rotary Club of Behala for outstanding contribution towards society. Our club also handedover couple of TRF cheque to the District Governor Rtn. Mukul Sinha as our contribution towards Rotary Foundation. The meeting concluded with grand fellowship and sumptuous dinner.

1st Club Assembly of the Rotary Year 2019-20 held at Malik Guest House on 16th June 2019.

Congratulations to President elect Rtn. Kaushik Bhattacharya for conducting a wonderful assembly with detail discussion on club matters. The club assembly concluded with sumptuous lunch which was thoroughly enjoyed by the club members.

Installed a sanitary Napkin vending Machine to Rashapunja self help group panchayat office, South 24 parganas.

In the month of May 2019 Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) installed a sanitary Napkin vending Machine to Rashapunja self help group panchayat office, South 24 parganas. Several others self help group are involved with this panchayat office. Installation of this Vending machine will surely help more than 2000 women of that panchayat area. This is another great initiatives by Rotary Club of Behala. We are thankful to the Rasapunja self help group Panchayat office for becoming our partner in service.

1st July project of Rotary Club of Behala held at RCC Unnayan

1st July project of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) held at RCC Unnayan, sponsored by Rotary Club of Behala. President Rtn. Amaresh Bhattacharya along with other members attended the project. We started with doctors day celebration's by handing over a flower bouquet and a token of appreciation to Dr. Past President Rtn. Siddharth Chakraborty of our club. Then we distributed chocolates and biscuits among the students(All underprivileged )present there. Not only that we distributed several copies for the kids present there. In this Nobel endeavour of our's Rotaract Club of Heritage Institute participated in our project and become a helping hand for us. We are thankful to the Rotaractors of Heritage institute.

Before this project we also sponsored a day long health check up camp at Saptasikha club at Behala. Health check up likes Blood Sugar, blood preasure, eyecheck was done at the camp.

Last RWM and thanks giving programme of Rotary Club of Behala

Last RWM and thanks giving programme of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) held at DKS(Dakshin Kalikata Sansad) Club on 22nd June 2018. This is one of the most traditional course that our club follows every year. This is the RWM as well as looking back to the entire year. The good work that we had done and what need to be done in the coming years was discussed. Felicitation of the Past Presidents done by the club President Rtn. Jayanta Kr Mitra. They all appreciate the quality of work that our club had done under the able leadership of President Rtn. jayanta Kr Mitra. All Innerwheel members of Innerwheel Behala was present along with the wife's of Rotarians. PP Rtn. Subhojit Roy from RC Metro City was present at this farewell meet. The meeting and the farewell completed with grand fellowship and dinner.

Donating Books at School

On 18th June 2018 we the members of Rotary Club of Behala completed the last project of the Rotary year(2017-18)by donating books at Baidyapara Boys High School, Uttaran, St. Joseph Primary school and Chetla Girls High School. For the members it was like hopping from one school to another in this scorching afternoon heat. Fantastic job done by the Rotarians of our club. Another successful literacy project got accomplished.

1st Club Assembly of the year 2018-19 and COTS (Club Officers Training Seminar) of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) held at Tamarind Restaurant on 9th June 2018. AG Rtn. Smarajit Mitra and ZS Rtn. Prasunjit Barua of zone no 14 attended the COTS. They were very good in answering the questions that were shoot to them by our members. PDG Angshuman Bandyopadhyay was the speaker of the evening. He shared his vast knowledge with us and pointed out some of the most important aspect of Rotary. Overall it was a very knowledgeable session for the board members and Chairs of our club.

RCC Unnayan sponsored by Rotary Club of Behala celebrated Rabindra Jayanti on 12th May 2018. President and the members of our club was present during the celebrations and spent some time with the underprivelaged students there. Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) also donated a certain amount of money as a part of the teachers remuneration. Hope our effort will guide this underprivileged students to get the basic educations

Project of health check up, ENTV checkup and dental checkup

On 21st April 2018 we have a joint project with Rotary club of Garden reach at KPC medical colleage and hospital to sponsor a project of health check up, ENTV checkup and dental checkup for the students affected by autism who are under supervision of a NGO.
It was a great satisfying project for both the club's.

Tree Plantation Project

We organised Tree Plantation Project in association with KPC Medical college and hospital Jadavpur on 7th April 2018. This is a very unique initiative taken up by Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291). Several trees planted by our club members. Let's together plant trees and "Save The Earth"

Medical and health check up camp at Santiniketan(Bolpur)

Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) very recently visited Santiniketan(Bolpur).
Just 4KM from Santiniketan at a remote tribal village our club organised Medical and health check up camp for local people. we also distributed 50 blankets, 4 solar lamp and 4 footballs among the local tribals.
It was also Rotary Club of Behala's annual off siter. Which was throughly enjoyed by the club members and their family.

We are looking forward to work more with our RCC in the near future

Rotary Club of Behala (RI District 3291) donated number's of blankets to the under privileged people of Barisha Sakher Bazar (Behala) which held at Barisha club Ground on 12th January 2018. We are thankful to Barisha Club for their wholeheartedly support.

Installed a Aquaguard water purifier machine at Arunima Hospice

On 2nd January 2018 Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) Installed a Aquaguard water purifier machine at Arunima Hospice(Home for the HIV positive Children). President Rtn. Jayanta Kr Mitra took a English class to the kids present there. We are also planning to teach them at least twice in a month. Hopefully our initiative will ensure clean drinking water for the inmates of the home.

All Bengal Yoga Championship

Rotary Club of Behala RI (District 3291) sponsored the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize to the winners of All Bengal yoga championship that held at Bharat Sevashram Sangha (Ballygunge).
It was another great initiative taken up by Rotary Club of Behala to encourage and promote the ancient Indian ascetic discipline

Baidyapara Boys High School Annual sports

BaidyaPara Boys High School Annual sports. Presence of Rotary Club of Behala was very much there along with other dignitaries. Rolling trophy was also handed over to the girls Kabaddi champion team from Rotary Club of Behala. We have decided to sponsor the school team with complete football jerseys and football shoes for the entire team. This is another great initiative taken up by Rotary club of Behala in terms of promoting sports and supporting the students of BaidyaPara Boys and Girls High School.

Khel Duar Football Academy (Jalpaiguri)

This is a unique initiative taken up by Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291)
Khel Duar football academy (Jalpaiguri)
Khel Duar works on social development with children and youths of Jalpaiguri and caters to the youth development activities. Most of the players are from Socio- economically backward section.
Rotary Club of Behala contributed food for 10 players during the 2 days tournament that held couple of days back on 1st December 2017 at Jalpaiguri Town.
We are very much looking forward to continue this relationship with this football academy in the near future as well.
Encouraging sports like football is a positive step towards building healthy society

International Aids Day

Rotary club of Behala(RI District 3291) participated in a programme on world Aids day along with other four Rotary club of the district. Participant Rotary clubs are Rotary club of Behala, Rotary club of Ballygunge uptown, Rotary club of Howrah, Rotary club of Kabitartha, Rotary club of Joka. The inmates of the home arranged a wonderful cultural function in the presence of the Rotarians. Everyone assured them to take some measures to relocate their life by welfare activities.

Bijoya-Diwali Get Together

Bijoya-Diwali Get together of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) held at Tamarind Restaurant on 17th November 2017 evening in the presence of Club members and Spouses. It was such a grand get together which followed by sumptuous dinner. In addition it was also Our club President Rtn. jayanta Kr Mitra's Birthday. Which was celebrated by a cake cutting ceremony in the presence of our Rotary Club of Behala family

Goodwill visit by the Rotarians

Goodwill visit by the Rotarians from Rotary Club of Feni Central Bangladesh at Rotary Club of Behala's Regular weekly meeting yesterday. Past President Rtn. Tapan Kr Majumdar from Rotary Club of Amtala was also one of the guest Rotarian at our club meeting on yesterday evening. All the guest Rotarians were felicitated by our Club President Rtn. Jayanta Kr Mitra and other respected Past Presidents of our club.

All India Women's Conference Parnasree

On 29th October 2017 in the presence of the members of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) President Rtn. Jayanta Kr Mitra handed over a cheque of Rs. 12,000 to All India Women's Conference Parnasree for the successful application of the Sewing Centre. President Rtn. jayanta Kr Mitra handed over the cheque to the Secretary of AIWC.

Indipendence Day celebration's of Rotary Club of Behala(RI District 3291) held at Mohananda Brambachari Sishu seva Pratisthan. Were we distributed food packets at the children's ward.

We also celebrated Indipendence Day at St. Joseph Primary school which is also our Happy School. National Flag hosted by President Rtn. jayanta Kr Mitra in the presence of other fellow club members, School authorities and students. Wonderful stage performance showcased by the little students of the school. we distributed chocolates and food packets among the students.
