Sulagna is one of the soloist Odissi performers of the present generation.
Having an exceptional training base with almost 16 years of experience in learning Odissi Dance, initially from Mrs. Dona Ganguly and presently under her Guru Poushali Mukherjee for advanced training under Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Gharana. She has been endowed with the title of ODISSI JYOTI in Naveen Kalakar (Bhuvaneshwar) by the Government of Culture, Orissa. She has bagged many prizes from various dance competitions which also includes the 2nd prize in Dover lane Music Conference talent contest.

She has performed extensively in venues all over India in various prestigious Dance and Music festivals like Jhulana Utsav in konark, Sankatmochan Sangeet samaroh, Konark Festival, Haridas Samaroh, Triveni Mahotsav, Lucknow Mahotsav, Taj Mahotsav, Pushkar Festival ...just to name a few...
as well as in abroad which includes countries like China, Singapore and Bangladesh.
