From its birth Ashokenagar Nattyamukh took the initiation of publishing Journal of their very own as we realized that Ashokenagar is a semi- urban area where dreaming big on making & practicing theatre with different outlook and without publishing a Journal is a Himalayan lash and there is no alternative of it.

We started our very journey with three bulletins in a year along with a Durga Puja (Sharad Sankhya) issue. Later on for upheaval and vicissitudes of life and society we cannot continue it without cessation and the main reason was financial constraints.

As we are noticing that in semi- urban areas it is as usual that some journals are publishing regularly and numerously. Birth and Death though accidental or incidental is inevitable and as we are away from town and consequently the publication of this type of journal did not attract the attention of the people in large. And in this critical juncture not only it is very tough to manage money but also the advertisements and as a result, all these magazines and journals are dying having great and creative potentials, dramatic potentials, information’s, discussions Hailing from the semi-urban Ashokenagar we always feel the pulse of creativity in making and rehearsing theatre and making of unabridged, research oriented historical documentary which will safeguard and secure our theatre practice. As we know that, more than 400 – 500 of already staged dramas, directors, actors was devoured by the merciless time inevitably. From the 60’s to 2012 the number of these dramas is uncountable. And the already staged dramas numbering 400-500s were the only sources of entertainments, consciousness and education before the revolution of Keble TV social networking sites.
