Md Iqbal 53 Years/Male from Kankinara of North 24 Parganas came with severe compressive pain in the chest for years with swelling of lower limbs. His ECHO report showed - MODERATE MITRAL STENOSIS, CALCIFIED MITRAL VALVE (BOTH AML & PML), MITRAL REGURGITATION, TRICUSPID REGURGITATION AND VENTRICULAR HYPERTROPHY. He was also suffering from HYPERTENSION associated with HIGH CHOLESTEROL, HIGH LDL, HIGH URIC ACID. He visited several times the famous health destination at the Southern part of our adored country. Day by day it was becoming equivocally obvious to have his heart valves replaced before any bigger misfortune surged upon him further. Md. Sri Radhanath Jain 74 Years/Male from the Darbhanga district of Bihar came with an USG showing ENLARGED PROSTATE with PROJECTED MEDIAN LOBE into the BLADDER And an X-Ray Showing LUMBER SPONDYLOSIS withCOMPRESSSION FRACTURE in L4 & L5 VERTEBRAE. PSA ( Prostate Specific Antigen, a cancer marker) was tested at 14.49 ng/ml(normal = less than 4, borderline 4.01 – 10, carcinogenic = above 10) He was told to consult oncologist only to declare it a case of PROSTATE CANCER which could do only with the removal of the gland, biopsy and subsequently chemo-radio therapy at its best. But his general condition was so poor that he could not have humanly survived the chemo/radio therapy even if he lived thereafter to tell the tale of the surgical procedures! The annoying symptoms of prostatic enlargement (urgency with frequent and drop by drop burning urination, recurrent attacks of urine infection with associated fever, malaise etc) along with the painful condition of the fractured vertebrae associated with spondylosis leading to an almost bed ridden situation AND above all, the gradually increasing cachexia of the lurking malignancy perplexed them well enough to search for the ‘ALTERNATIVES’. After taking homoeopathic medicines for a couple of months he had no urinary complaints to tell of, all the pains of the waist was completely gone (repeat X-rays reveal normal study) and the PSA level declined to 1.73 ng/ml.
I, really do not understand why it is called ‘alternative medicine’ when there is no substitute available in the hand of the modern medicines, that can bring down the PSA in such a short time, or which can heal the fractured bone in such an adverse situations as this!
