Form for admission to 3 years (1+1+1) B.Mus (Honours), B.Mus (General) is available on production of passed original marksheet of Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or its equivalent, from the College Office on payment of Rs. 100/-from 11-30 a.m. to 3-30 p.m. on and from 05th June, 2012 onwards.

Eligibility : -

01. A candidate who has passed the H.S. (10+2) examination or its equivalent Examination is eligible to seek admissior to the 1st year of the 3 year B.Mus.(Hons/Genl.) Courses of studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.

02. However, no candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination.

03. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in Compulsory Environmental Education / Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate of marks. If the subject "Environmental Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

04. A candidate taking up Honours Course in a Subject must have obtained .
(i) A minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject Music, at the previous qualifying examination
OR
(ii) 50% marks in the subject or related subject at the pre-qualifying examination ,
OR
(iii) 45% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied in the subject Music in the pre- qualifying examination candidates shall be admitted on the basis of Admission Test to be conducted by the College authority concerned.

05. However, candidates belonging to the Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe community taking up Honours Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be.

06. Music as one of the combination (General) subject is offered to die desired candidates of B.A/B.Sc. degree course of any college affiliated to the university of Calcutta.

07. Reserved Seats : SC-22%, ST-6%, OBC-17% (Muslim-10%)

10. Admission form be submitted with the following enclosures :
a) Attested Photo copy of Admit card of Madhy amik Parikasha.
b) Attested Photo copy of Higher Secondary Marksheet.
c) Attested Photo copy of Cast certificate, in case of SC/ST/OBC/ Physically handicapped candidate.
d) One copy of pass port size photograph duly attested by the guardian only, to be pasted on the Admission Form.

11. All the original documents be produced at the time of admission.

 
COURSES

  1. A candidate who has passed the H.S. (10+2) examination or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.Mus. (Hons. Genl.) Courses of studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks of not being less than 100.
  2. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in Compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate of marks if the subject Environmental Science is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
  3. A Candidate taking up Honours Course in a Subject must have obtained:
    (i)  A minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject Music, at the previous qualifying examination,
                                                 Or
    (ii) 50% marks in the subject or related subject at the pre-qualifying examination,
                                                 Or
    (iii) 45% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied, on the basis of the selection test.

  4. However, Candidates belonging to the Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe community taking up Honours Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be.
  5. MUSIC AS ONE OF THE COMBINATION (GENERAL) SUBJECT is offered to the desired Candidates of B.A./B.Sc. degree course of any College affiliated to the Calcutta University.
 
 
Admission to the College ...
 

Admission form is issued to the candidates on production of Original Mark sheets and Admit Cards from the College Office. Candidates belonging to S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C. are required to produce the certificate from competent authority.

All other information’s regarding admission procedure will be notified in the College Notice Board.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday - 11-00 A.M. to 3 P.M.
  • Wednesday & Friday - 1 - 00 P.M. to 6 P.M.
  • A late fee of Rs. 5/- will be charged for each month by which fees are overdue.
 
 
Attendance ...
 

Every student will have to attend 75% of the classes to be delivered other-wise he/she will not be eligible to appear in the University Examination.
