Milieu:
It was early 90's when a group of serious and like minded youth from various walks of life, committed to social development initiated their road side activities with a dream to change their environment. They desired to reach out to the poorest of the poor slum dwellers. From then they set out their journey towards their commitment with the holy blessing of mother of all joy- Mother Teresa.

Through years of toiling efforts and strenuous hardships to ensure the fundamental rights of the marginalized section of the society, the group registered itself in the year 1983 as Mass Welfare Society - a Non Government Organization committed for human development.

We are registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act and also Foreign Contribution Regulations Act, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. We are also registered under 12A and 80 G of Income Tax act.
