“Prayas” have a training division, involved to train people in the field of “Hand Crafted Printing”;”Cutting”;”Stitching”;”Embroidery” both by hand and machine and also development of different Handicraft items. “Prayas” has taken a small part to develop the skill of “Self Help Groups”, according to their trade chosen by them. Rather than these, “Prayas” has another objective that is “ENTREPRENEURSHIP”. Entrepreneurship enhances self employment and also provides employment to the others. Self employed people not get business for themselves but also create jobs for others. From this aspect “Prayas” set up a “Vocational Training Institute”. Vocational Training is a Pre-employment foundation and there is a grate requirement to train & motivate our youth community, women are to be efficient more, to be a good entrepreneur and self-reliant.

     In modern days marketing holds a key position in any organizational success. “Prayas” is in a continuous process of marketing planning which begins with the analysis of marketing opportunities, through marketing does not deal only with goods and only services. It focuses on ideas, issues, concepts & principals. From this point of view “Prayas” participated Industrial India Trade Fair at Kolkata; International India Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan of Delhi for the last few years successfully. From these ground we can access the customers demand because today customer buys “satisfaction and peace of mind not just the good or service only”. According to the customers demand we are try our level best to build and develop our demand and supply the same in holistic manner. Apart from these Prayas has also participated at various exhibitions organized by various private associations, Govt. Departments like Department of Self Employment and Self help Group, Government of West Bengal. Prayas gets contacts from various garments retailers at fairs & exhibitions to supply the finely finished products to them in justified cost. Government Emporiums also use to take our products on consignment basis. Marketing has been a major and consistent problem in the SSI sector. It is needless to mention that marketing is the essence of any business and it is observed that many good small and tiny units could not survive due to lack of marketing capabilities.

     In the globalization of market leading to the change of taste of modern consumers for fashion fabrics, the sustenance of a unit like Prayas is now solely dependent on the production of value added products through development in designs and improvement in finishing , utility and colour. To measure the international list market, Prayas has participated in International Women Symposium held at Hyderabad and organized by ALEAP, Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh in the year 2007. In the year 2008 Prayas got the invitation of International Women Symposium of Bangalore, Hyderabad and Jabbalpur.
