Of the 1.3 billion people who live in absolute poverty around the globe, 70 percent are women. For these women, poverty doesn’t just mean scarcity and want. It means rights denied, opportunities curtailed and voices silenced. Since our founding in 2000, PRAYAS has been dedicated to helping poor people mainly women overcome suffering. Our earliest work was to provide vocational training and encourage them to be self dependent. We are committing to secure equal rights of women. Our future plans are.....

Vocational Training and Skill Development Programme:
The population growth of India has declined over many years, yet the labor force is projected to grow close to 2% or some 7 million or more per year over the next few years. This trend is in sharp contrast to industrialized countries including China where the ratio is on the rise. The low dependency ratio gives India a comparative cost advantage and competitiveness.
We have focused on developing a large pool of skilled workforce to meet the needs. For this purpose, we have decided to open various “Vocational Training and Skill Development Centers “to trained unemployed youth and help those to be self employed. We hope that this initiative will open a great opportunity to the Indian unemployed youth and employment will surely create in planned manner.
