Dr. Nikhilesh Das is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is presently working as a Consultant Orthopaedic  Surgeon  in Kolkata, at Peerless Hospital & B.K. Research Centre.

 He has completed  M.B.B.S.  from S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack in 1998 and M.S.(Orthopaedics) in 2005 from the same institution.  He had successfully completed M.Ch. (Orth.) from University Of Seychelles American Institute Of  Medicine in 2012 and was the Gold Medalist in the same.

After undergoing extensive training in Atrthroplasty , Arthroscopy and Trauma Care in national and international institutions for a period of three years he joined Peerless Hospital & B. K.Roy Research Centre, Kolkata as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2008.

 He has worked as a Medical officer with Medicines Sans Frontiers of Holland and also at a Primary health centre in the interiors of Orissa.

At present he sees over ten thousand patients in OPD and performs surgeries on more than 500 patients per year . He specializes in the fields of :

TRAUMA:

Expert in management of polytrauma cases along with treatment of various extraarticular and intraarticular fractures with the most recent modern implants and instruments. He is well trained by AO/ASIF group which has its origin in Davos, Switzerland and at present is also a Faculty for this group training young surgeons all over India.

ARTHROSCOPY:

Well versed in the management of various sports related injuries and in various arthroscopy procedures round the knee such as  menisectomy, AC Ligament reconstruction, P C Ligament reconstruction and also around the shoulder (sub acromian decompression, bankarts repair) and other joints such as ankle.

JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERIES:

Surgeries included hemi replacements, Total Hip Repalcement and Total Knee Replacement using the most advanced implants and techniques. Also performs revision surgeries of knees and hips for failed cases of previous surgeries. Well trained with the use of “CAS ( Computer assisted surgery ) for Total Knee Replacement and Articular surface replacement of the hip.

COLD SURGERIES:

Management of miscellaneous sports related injuries such as ligament reconstructions, deformity correction ( Ilizarov Techniques), tumor surgeries  and various soft tissue procedures.
