The origins of the word cardiology come from the Greek word kardia, meaning heart or inner self. Cardiologists must graduate from an approved medical college - MBBS; complete a three years' training in General Internal Medicine - MD (Medicine), and a further three years' training in Cardiology- intervention and non-invasive Cardiology-DNB (Cardiology)
