Paulami is a deciple of renowned reciter Shri Amitava Bagchi under whom she trained for sixteen years. She also acted for five years in stage theatre 'Pancham Baidik' directed by Smt Saoli Mitra. Paulami has developed her own school for recitation called 'Oikantika' based on her love for literature and poetry. There she teaches recitation to more than hundred students of all ages.Paulami also performed solo rectitation for two hours at Sisir Mancha in 2013. The performance was highly praised in various newspapers. An audio CD 'Ami Sudhu Ami-e' on paulami's recitation was released which touched the heart of the audience. Paulami regularly gets invitation to perform from near and far-off places. Poulami's wonderful voice is a source of joy to people all across life.
