Rudraksha is considered both fruit and flower that contains centralized power of Lord Shiva. Originated from the eyes of Lord Shiva, rudraksha is regarded to be the Lord Himself. Significance of rudraksha is amazing. It can be worn by any one since it begets mental peace, discards spell of black magic, rids of ghosts and bad spirits, grants wealth, worldly pleasures and salvation. Ayurveda considers rudraksha a great medicine. Being composed of acid and vitamin C, it purifies blood, eradicates wind and phlegm related ailments. Several saints opine that it begets mental peace of highest order, controls blood pressure and diffuse planetary affects.

Rudraksha is available in different faces (called Mukhi). Five-faced (Panchmukhi) is available in abundance so it is cheaper, whereas rudraksha from one faced to twenty-one faced are costlier. Similar to rudraksha which does not bear any face is called Bhadraksha, they have no therapeutic value. Good quality one faced and fifteen faced rudraksha to twenty-one faced rudraksha are rarely available. Their price runs in Lakes of rupees.

From one faced rudraksha to fourteen faced rudraksh carry different values and effects as they represent different gods and deities along with Lord Shiva. The best quality rudraksha beads are obtained from terrains of Himalayas and according to mythology they are considered pious too.
 


One-faced Rudraksha :

The place where one-faced rudraksha is worshipped wealth, pleasure, luck, happiness come to reside in permanently. Brings social progress and leadership qualities. Represents Lord Shiva Himself the Almighty. Removes all diseases related to right eye, heart, brain, bones, piles, sinews, dysentery, appendix, mouth, constipation etc.


Two-faced Rudraksha :

Represents Ardhanarishwaram or Lord Shiva along with Goddess Parwati. Helpful to remove ailments due to disturbances of the planet Moon. Helpful in cough, cold, depression, left eye problem, mental trouble, Memory loss, menstruation obstruction and diseases related to heart, liver and lungs.


Three-faced Rudraksha :

wearing it helps to suppress destructive tendencies and enhance creative capability in a person. It is helpful in Mars related physical disorder such as heavy bleeding, abortion, diseases related to sense organs, testicles, bone marrow, piles, ulcer, dysentery etc.



Four-faced Rudraksha :

Symbolizes Lord Brahma. Helps to cure all kinds of mental disorders. Governed by the planet Mercury it helps to improve knowledge, education, mathematical ability, writing, astrology, trade and business. Removes ailments related to skin, gall bladder, nerve, nose, asthma etc.


Five-faced Rudraksha :

Symbolizes 'Kal-Agni' form of Lord Shiva. Governed by the planet Jupiter, wearing it helps pleasant married life, brings austerity and religious feelings and prosperity. Removes diseases related to bone, liver, foot, buttocks, kidney, thigh, ear and blood sugar.
Six-faced Rudraksha :

Symbolizes Kartikeya. Wearing it eradicates passion and jealousy, and begets power of soul, determination and supreme knowledge. Governed by the Venus, it grants luxury and happiness. Removes ailments related to sex, eye, mouth, urine, neck and water borne diseases.


Seven-faced Rudraksha :

Symbolizes Sapt-mata, Sapt-rishi, Sapt-nag and Anang (Kamdev). Wearer of it becomes centre of attraction by opposite sex. Governed by the planet Saturn, it is worn to pacify and control the Saturn.


Eight-faced Rudraksha :

Symbolizes Lord Kartikeya and Ganesh. It begets success in legal matters and protects from accidents and strong enemies. It does not let a person fall in depression and loss of intellect. Governed by the planet Rahu it helps to remove lung, leg, skin, cataract, testicle, breathing related ailments and fear of snake-bite.


Nine-faced Rudraksha :
 
Symbolizes Bhairav, Yama and deity Durga. Governed by the planet Ketu, it helps to remove ailments related to lungs, eye, abdomen and fear from unknown reasons.


Ten-faced Rudraksha :

Represents ten incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Begets honour and praise to the wearer. Eradicates all ghostly or spiritual hindrances. Beneficial to leaders, social workers and artistes.


Eleven-faced Rudraksha :

Represents ten incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Begets honour and praise to the wearer. Eradicates all ghostly or spiritual hindrances. Beneficial to leaders, social workers and artistes.



Twelve-faced Rudraksha :

Symbolizes twelve Jyotirlingas and twelve Suryas. Begets power, fearlessness, pleasure and happiness to its' wearer. It is also a substitute for the costly one-faced rudraksha.



Thirteen-faced Rudraksha :

All attributes of Kamdev revealed in it. Improves chemical and metrological knowledge and grants expertise in these fields.

 


Fourteen-faced Rudraksha :

Represents Shree Kantha. Governed by Lord Hanuman, it begets strength and vigor. Most beneficial for sports persons.
